Khoroni Donates over R600 000 into Local Education

On 11 September, Peermont’s Khoroni Hotel Casino and Convention Centre handed over another cheque on behalf of the Khoroni Community Education Trust (KCET) to the Department of Education.

The R614 400 follows the first donation of R432 500 given last year to empower local education and assist the beneficiaries in their studies as teachers to educate 0-5 year old children. The handover occurred at Mass Computer Training FET College, with Chief Educational Specialist Stanley Ravele and Khoroni General Manager Operations Martha Sidebi inn attendance.

‘We are delighted to be donating a larger sum this year,’ said Sidebi. ‘This will go towards assisting 48 students and give them the opportunity to complete the education for their dream careers.’

The Khoroni Community Education Trust is a Peermont Trust aimed at empowering local education projects giving the next generation a foothold in fulfilling their educational goals.
